George Andrew,87, of Jupiter, FL passed away on April 25, 2008 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was born in Bradford, PA on February 4, 1921 and was the son of Harry and Fern Andrews.
Leola (Williams) Andrews, 92, of Jupiter, FL passed away on February 14, 2018 in Vincennes, IN. She was born in West Union, WV on May 24, 1925 and was the daughter of Clella and Ethel Williams. On January 16, 1947 she married George Andrews.
George worked for Getty Oil Company until he retired in 1981. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945. While serving in France, as a medic, he was wounded and captured by the Germans. After released he went to England and from there was sent back to the United States. He was a good man and always attended the boy’s sports events. He liked to build things from wood and he made some great pieces; barns for the boys, nice picnic tables and TV Trays. He liked to tease all the kids and grandkids.
Leola was a stay at home mom and she took good care of her family. She was a good cook and she always saw to it that the kids had whatever they needed. She liked to knit and made some great Christmas stockings for the family, these are treasured heirlooms.
Due to working in the oil industry they lived in Pennsylvania, Illinois and Texas. When George retired they bought a camper and traveled to forty-eight states. It was a special time for them and they made new friends everywhere they went. They lived in Texas at this time and had a group of friends that they would go over to Mexico to go shopping with. They also would go square dancing every week. They were good parents and will be missed by their kids and everyone who knew them. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but memories leave a love no one can steel.
They are survived by one daughter and son-in-law Sharon (Andrews) and Paul Tracy, Lawrenceville, IL; two sons and a daughter-in-law Gary and Nancy Andrews, Hillsboro, OR and Rick Andrews, Robinson, IL.
They were preceded in death by their parents and one son Fred Andrews.
